Multiple Gross Error Identification Strategies for Steady State Processes
ثبت نشده
چکیده
In the preceding chapter, the different statistical tests for detecting the presence of gross errors and the methods for identifying a single gross error in the data were described. For a well maintained plant, we should generally not expect more than one gross error to be present in the data. Therefore, a fundamental pre-requisite of any gross error detection strategy is that it should have good ability to detect and identify correctly a single gross error. However, if data reconciliation is applied to a large subsystem consisting of many measurements or if the sensors are operating in a hostile environment, and/or plant maintenance procedures are inadequate, then it is possible for several gross errors to be simultaneously present in the data. Thus, there is a need to add a third component to the gross error detection strategy which provides the capability to detect and identify multiple gross errors.

متن کاملDetecting Gross Errors for Steady State Systems
Gross error detection is important to data reconciliation in process industry. In practice, gross errors cannot be identified exactly by any algorithm. The issue of unreasonable solutions of gross error detection algorithms is discussed. A novel mixed integer optimization method presented in a previous paper is used in this paper. A strategy is proposed to identify gross errors and its most pos...

متن کاملAn Intelligent Algorithm based Controller for Multiple Output DC-DC Converters with Voltage Mode Weighting Factor
Multiple output DC-DC converters are widely used in many applications such as aerospace, industrial and medical equipments. The purpose of this paper is to present an intelligent control system for the multiple output DC-DC converters. In order to perform this purpose, a double ended forward DC-DC converter with three output voltages (+5 V/ 50W, +15 V/ 45W and -15 V/ 15W) is considered and anal...
متن کاملIntegrated Robust Identification and Control of Large-Scale Processes
We propose the use of pseudo-singular values, which are closely related to singular values but are allowed to have sign, as a convenient approach for developing techniques for the identification and control of large-scale processes. Steady-state controllability can be assessed directly in terms of the pseudo-singular values. It is shown that to control an output disturbance direction with zero ...
